Christoph Lingg’s Shut Down is one of the best collections of photographs of industrial ruins I know. In a total of fourteen countries in Eastern Europe, Christoph Lingg tracked down numerous ruins: buildings from the textile, chemical, oil and heavy industries; processing plants for sugar and fish; brickyards and breweries. Each cover is unique, as it is made of multi-coated, rusty metal plates. We have a final copy, signed, housed in a cardboard slipcase and with a dozen postcards of Lingg’s photos of Romania thrown in for good measure!
