It is most likely that you never saw the archipelago of Bohuslän depicted with the type of photography that Erik Malm presents in this book. Erik published his first book about the archipelago in the autumn of 1999; a book in traditional documentary photo style. Since then, he has spent more than fifteen years training and developing his very own version of the admittedly difficult photography technique “ICM”, Intentional Camera Movement, which is deliberate camera movements during longer exposure times. He simply paints with his camera as a paintbrush. The aim has been to be able to create more emotional expressions, and not just to picture something beautiful in front of the camera.
As a former professional “symphonic” musician, the music is to Erik the basis for the photographic creative process. So – please join a poetic photo-musical journey in the archipelago that so many have taken to heart – the archipelago of Bohuslän.
